TeenForce currently works with youth only in Santa Clara County, CA.
Gilroy and Morgan Hill residents: We support any youth ages 16 to 24.
Other Santa Clara County residents: We only support current and former foster youth ages 14 to 26.


TeenForce is a non-profit staffing agency that specializes in preparing teens and young adults (ages 14-26) for internships, as well as entry level, part-time, full-time and temporary jobs. TeenForce’s mission is to help foster youth acquire the skills, habits, and work experience to fulfill their potential. Our approach is patterned after the for-profit staffing industry, where we match employers with eager job seekers. No experience is necessary.

The ideal candidate will be a high school student or a student currently enrolled in an educational institution (Technical Institution, AA, BA/BS degree); and has an interest in a career in the Public Sector or a career with an emphasis in fields related to City administration, human resources, information systems, accounting and finance, recreation, facilities, planning, or engineering.
 
The City has not identified an internship assignment as we are interested in tailoring the work assigned to the intern around the selected candidate’s specific interests. The internship will provide, through mentorship, a great opportunity for an individual interested in enhancing his/her administrative and project management skills. 
 
The candidate should enjoy working with a variety of City staff and the public and should be comfortable with asking questions and using this opportunity to experience how a City functions.
