Gilroy and Morgan Hill residents: We support any youth ages 16 to 24.
Other Santa Clara County residents: We only support current and former foster youth ages 14 to 26.

TeenForce is a non-profit staffing agency that specializes in preparing teens and young adults (ages 14-26) for internships, as well as entry level, part-time, full-time and temporary jobs. TeenForce is currently looking for individuals interested in working as a Retail Material Handler at a well-known non-profit in the Silicon Valley.

Major duties:

●Receive,move,place carts,containers,barrels containing donations,trash,and As-Is for processing in designated areas.Weighs and track where applicable
●Unload trailers and transport products to appropriate departments
●Load trailers and trucks with product for shipping
●Place appropriate storage labels on container
●Track production output and product levels throughout the day
●Replenish unsorted donations at sorter workstations
●Test electrical products,stack,and wrap E-waste pallets
●Stock designated departments and remove residual product 
●Set up and break down As-Is sales floor to include movement of product and trash boxes,handling furniture,and receiving donations from the public
●Extract recyclable material from the conveyor belt,remove full boxes,and/or operate “tipper” to feed the line with material
●Track productivity according work station using proper forms
●Handle mattresses,household hazardous waste,metal,furniture,tires,etc
●Fill cap sacks with clothing,sewing machine to close bag, and prep for shipping
●Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly manner with clean-up activities performed throughout the day
●Work with clients who are assigned for vocational services as requested
●Abide and enforce all company procedures
●Perform other duties as requested

Experience/knowledge required:

●Basic Math skills
●Basic skills to read and write English
